Vicki Moon Spiegel

My friend Vicki is happily retired after dedicating an impressive 25 years of her life as a graphic artist at the Columbus Zoo. Although she now enjoys retirement, she continues to keep her creative spirit alive by actively working as a mixed media artist. She spends her time exhibiting her work, teaching passionate students, volunteering for various causes, and selling her stunning creations through commissions, galleries, art museums, and businesses throughout Ohio. In her own whimsical words, “This is just a partial list of things I juggle. (Oh, yes, I'm definitely going to learn how to juggle after I make some beanbags!)” When reflecting on her artistic journey, she describes, “About My Work: Most of my artistic output is eccentric, unusual, strange, and visionary… I often feel like a giant funnel. The energy flows into my brain and out my hands with what seems like very little effort. Not that I do not have occasional moments of struggle when coming up with an artistic solution to my problems, but nonetheless, I love being an artist and embrace every moment of this colorful adventure.
